Hi, I’m Lolli!! My name is actually Allison - Lolli is a family nickname given to me by my oldest nephew when he was learning to talk. The nickname stuck and although he is now in his mid-twenties, I’m still Lolli to him and the rest of my family.

I am the face behind ‘Designs by Lolli’ - the owner, designer, and creator. Design is something I’ve always had a passion for…all kinds of design - decor, fashion, art, landscaping, packaging…really, any and and all types of design.

I love designing and creating things so much that I became an art teacher. Yes, really. I taught high school art in a suburb north of Dallas for 28 years (gulp) and retired a couple of years ago to spend more time with my family. I am beyond thankful for the time I’ve had with them and have cherished every single day - I wouldn’t trade it for anything. However, I’ve missed having a creative outlet. I was recently bitten by the “banner bug” and knew I had to give it a go...and what fun I’m having!! It’s the creative outlet I’ve been craving...designing, painting and connecting with people to celebrate life’s events - PERFECTION!

To be totally honest, I have to give a nod to my high school days of creating banners - I was on my school’s drill team and each drill team member was paired with a varsity football player for the season. We created banners each week to hang in the halls to support our player. (Go #44!!) Think Texas in the late 1980s…yes, this really was a thing. I never counted how many banners I made, but it was A LOT. Anywho, that’s probably where my passion for banners actually began. Fast forward from high school to being a Visual Arts major in college and teaching art for nearly three decades, and...well...here we are…Designs by Lolli was born. Kind of a no-brainer if you think about it. I’m excited for what’s ahead and can hardly wait to design and paint more banners. (Swoon!)
